DNC Street Market: Alive and well!

The DNC Street Market and Fair started almost 2 years ago. It started with very few dedicated volunteers. Now over a year and a half later, it’s expanded to “something people look forward to,” said one vendor. We have on average up to 150 vendors and 300 shoppers. Anyone who comes to this market agrees that it’s the best thing to happen to our neighbourhood. The market happens every Sunday 11-5 at Pigeon Park / Carrall Street. It’s rarely ever cancelled.
I talked with one couple that come from Surrey every Sunday since it started. They said, “There’s a lot of good deals and we hope this market keeps running.” For myself, I look forward to coming every Sunday and I’m proud to be involved with something so special and successful. I hope we keep it going for a long time or even expand to more days.
